Speci fi cations • Our retention knobs are manufactured above international standards or to machine builder speci fi cations • We manufacture our retention knobs in batches for traceability • If the retention knob has o rings, they come installed; no need to do it yourself Material • Our retention knobs are manufactured with AMS-6274/ AISI-8620 alloy steel • We only procure steel that is drawn in the United States • AMS-6274/AISI-8620 has high hardenability and age hardens over time without the brittleness of 9310 alloy steel • Certi fi cations are maintained for all steel utilized for traceability Threads • Threads are single pointed on our lathes during the manufacturing of all other retention knob features • This ensures high concentricity on each retention knob which is often lost in rolling the threads • Single pointing of threads ensures full thread depth is achived • Our process also ensures that our threads are balanced (lead in/lead out at 180 degrees) which is di ffi cult to achieve rolling threads
